Albany Hospital Foundation Board Elects New Officers

The Albany General Hospital Foundation board of directors has elected new officers.

They are: Michael Cowgill, chairman; Dell Alexander, vice chair; Tad Davies, treasurer; Malinda Moore, secretary; and Judge James Goode, immediate past chair.

Cowgill, a foundation director since 2006, is a senior partner in the legal firm Weatherford, Thompson, Cowgill, Black and Schultz, PC. Weatherford Thompson, established in 1875, is one of the oldest legal firms in Oregon and Cowgill has been a member of the Oregon State Bar for more than 30 years. Cowgill is active with the United Way of Linn County, the OSU Alumni Association and Trillium Family Services.

Alexander is an Albany attorney and partner with Kryger, Alexander, Egan, Elmer and Carlson, PC, and also maintains a pharmacist’s license; Davies is a certified public accountant and owner of TA Davies & Co., PC; Moore is a speech pathologist for Samaritan Health Services; and Goode is a Senior Judge for the state of Oregon and a retired Linn County Circuit Court Judge.

The foundation added one new director: Patty Crawford, who works for Samaritan Health Services as the employee wellness coordinator. Becky Merryman will continue to serve as the new ex-officio representative to the foundation board, representing the Samaritan Albany General Hospital Auxiliary.

The AGH Foundation board of directors is comprised of 22 volunteer leaders from the Albany area. The group’s mission is to build a healthier community by enhancing the programs, facilities and services of SAGH and its medical staff with philanthropy and effective stewardship of donated funds.
